Grandpa, Mr R's food favorites
I talked to a grandpa(Mr.R), and I asked him what were some of the foods you enjoyed in your childhood time? He told me happily that Chapati with jam, and chapati with egg, and then puri and aloo were some of his favorites, along with many stories.
Many chapathis were made daily and chapathi (roti) was a staple food. It is interesting, how in the same region, for some, rice is staple and for some, roti is staple.
Chapati is a type of tortilla that is made with wheat flour. Kindly refer to the other blog post, for chapathi recipe.
Chapati with egg recipe:
Take one egg and crack into a bowl. Then, add the salt and spice powder into the egg. After, you have added the salt and spice powder into the egg mix it together. After it is mixed together, you want to cook the egg for about 5-10 minutes. After the egg cooks, you want take the egg out of the pan and then roll it in the chapatti.
Chapati with jam
Take whatever jam you are planning using whether it is guava jam, or tomato jam. Take out 1 chapati and microwave it for about 20 seconds. After the chapati is heated up you want to add a spoon jam to your chapati and spread it. After it has been spread, enjoy your chapati with jam.
