Ms.K's favorite foods

Today I talked to Ms.K, who is a very kind person and she loves dogs. I knew her from before when she gave us a talk to our volunteers in ekamusa.org on therapy service dogs. When I asked her what her favorite foods that she enjoyed, she told me kindly stories about her favorite foods and memories from childhood time. Cookies, potato dumplings, and corn on the cob were her favorite foods associated with her childhood time but she shared a lot more stories.

She also told me that they would not eat any fast food at that time. Also that there would be popsicles that would be on wooden sticks in their time.

Dad would often cook on grill and mom would make all sides but then dad would claim that he made the entire meal.

She would sometimes go out to a bakery and get cannoli.

There used to be bratwurst that they used to eat that is like a sausage.

A lot of apples and grapes grew well there, so they used to eat those. Red delicious and golden delicious apples were eaten.

The citruses were eaten in the winter weather.

Pineapple used to be sliced and eaten with cherries on the top.

Grilling the corn on the cob was a big event for them.

A lot of gardening was done where snap peas, and corn was planted. Mom would do a lot of planting.

Ms.K's parents would cook the hot dogs, and on Saturday nights pizza was made.

Fish Fry used to made on Fridays.

For Thanksgiving everyone would be at the house and gather as a big family and There were 80 different kids of cookies that were made for Christmas. 80!!!
