Grandma's Favorite Foods

So, I asked my grandma, "Grand ma ! What are your favorite foods?"

She thought about it a while and then she told me that eggplant curry was one of her first favorite foods, and then it was rasam, aloo fry, and rice.
At my grandmas home, in her childhood every day there used to be a curry, lentils, rice, chutney, ( a spicy mix) rasam or sambar. My great grandma always used to cook after taking a shower only.
My favorite too, is eggplant curry. My sister's favorite is aloo fry that my grand ma makes and she calls it "Golden Aloo Fry". So far, my mom could never make it the way my grand ma makes and she is still trying. But, I found the secret from my grandma, and I will share with you soon here.

My  grandma's eggplant curry (Vankaya curry) is also very tasty and uses a simple here. So here I am, sharing both the recipes in this post.

Eggplant curry Recipe
Cut the eggplant, put the oil in pan, and then put the eggplant in the oil. After the eggplant color changes add the podi like sena papopo, mina papoo, and avalu.  And then you can add onion if you want. If you don’t want onion you can just add the podi to the eggplant.

Golden Aloo Fry Recipe
Peel the potatoes, cut the potatoes, put the oil in the pan, and then put the cut potatoes in the oil. Once the aloo starts to turn golden brown, add salt. Once you add the salt, add the red chili powder to the aloo and mix it.
